SETROW
Anti-Spam Policy
Setrow does not allow spam. If we discover that a customer’s account is used for spam, the relevant account will be deleted. If you suspect that a customer sends spam to multiple users, please contact us by sending an e-mail to abuse@setrow.com. ISPs and Blacklist administrators can also contact us by sending an e-mail to abuse@setrow.com if they receive an unwanted or unrequested e-mail from a Setrow user. Please click on the unsubscribe link in the footer of e-mail or send us the e-mail’s title or contents.
Based on the agreement of the Terms and Conditions, newsletters with images, brochures, promotions, invitations, press releases, product launches and other e-mail campaigns that inform the subscribed customers or members can be sent to requesting recipients as part of the uses permitted within Setrow. Pursuant to the Privacy and Electronic Communication Contract dated 2003, and CAN-SPAM Contract dated 2003, Setrow does not allow “Unsolicited Commercial E-mails (UCE)” or “Unsolicited Bulk E-mails (UBE)” also known as spam. In the case that recipient does not give a confirmed or planned permission to receive an e-mail, such e-mail will be classified as “Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE)” or “Unsolicited Bulk E-mail (UBE)”. A confirmed and planned permission refers to (1) a written proof or e-mail proof showing the request of recipient to receive the e-mail, (2) an electronic proof with a time/date stamp as well as the specific source of the IP address used by the recipient when agreeing to receive such an e-mail. To clarify, this means that you can send an e-mail to anyone that has subscribed to your list via your website or an offline or common subscription site. You can also send e-mails on behalf of your customers that have allowed list selection via their own websites, offline or a common subscription site. Unpermitted cases are detailed more clearly below:
E-mails collected from websites, Lists purchased by a third party, Lists leased by a third party, Lists that belong to another institution, such as a Chamber of Commerce or a club, Any undesired list, even a press release, through which e-mails are sent to newspapers, potential customers, potential voters or potential employees, or anyone that has not allowed permission to send them e-mails.
Effective application of the policy – What do we do to eliminate spam?
Setrow users must clearly document that their own lists consist of previously requested and completely confirmable e-mail addresses. Failure to provide such proof upon request will lead to account cancellation. Setrow reserves the right to monitor all the lists received. Such monitoring activity may include minimum inspection of list source of customer, list age and consent policies. Setrow tracks the content of customer e-mails and message flags that have content commonly used in spams. Setrow stores the IP address and start date of subscription for each new subscriber within the subscription processes it manages.
If it is found that a customer is using Setrow to send spam, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the account of that customer. The link to unsubscribe or to report abuse is added to the footer of each e-mail sent by Setrow. Any attempt to disable that link leads to immediate account suspension. All our users are encouraged to contact us via abuse@setrow.com in order to provide us with feedback about their use of Setrow.
Complaint procedure
If you suspect that your account is being used to send unsolicited singular or bulk e-mails, sending privileges of your account will be suspended temporarily. The following steps will be taken to determine whether you are sending spam:
We will review the complaint.
We will review your list in terms of general patterns related to collected lists.
We will review the content of the e-mail in question.
We will review the proof that e-mail was previously requested for the e-mail address in question.
If we decide that you are sending spam e-mails, your account will be suspended immediately without any right to claim for return.
If we find out that the complaint is false positive (made by a person who is a subscriber but has forgotten about their subscription), we will act together with you and the complaining party in order to find a suitable solution. Sending privileges of your account will be restored with a corrective decision.
ISP and Blacklist relations
We share information with Blacklist administrators and their ISPs in line with our policies and practices, and are highly willing to consider potential improvements in order to reduce any abuse. If you are an ISP, Blacklist or mail administrator and want to contact us, please send an e-mail to abuse@setrow.com.
